The land is abundant in healthy soil, optimal weather conditions, and hardworking farmers determined to deliver delicious pears to customers around the world.

Legacy of perfecting juicy pear cultivation.

Commited to the future of agriculture.

Our purpose (ikigai) is to enrich life, the environment, the economy and food culture with the value we create. Every one of us will continue to uphold tradition, hold high ideals, discipline ourselves, help our peers, contribute to society, and challenge ourselves to test the limits of agricultural possibility.

Mr. Tsuchida was at a loss for what to do when a typhoon destroyed his farm in 2011. Repairing the farm himself seemed impossible, so he took to the internet to ask for any volunteers willing to help.
The next morning, people he’d never seen or met before were waiting outside his doorstep, ready to help. Over time, those volunteers told others about Soju Farms, and those people then came to volunteer. Overall, more than 200 people came to help repair the farm.
Now, Mr. Tsuchida says every pear grown on this farm is born of the love shown by the people who helped restore the land. Each fruit is brimming with the kindness, generosity, and love those strangers showed to him.

Serving a Community that Loves This Farm

Famous for their floral sweetness and mildly acidic finish, Japanese pears are a coveted light dessert as refreshing as gelato. Japanese pears have a subtle texture, sugary-rich juice, and a cooling sweetness that feels like the gentle caress of an autumn breeze.
